STOP sign: special waypoint vs. traffic-sign drawing

Updated
There are two different "STOP" items, and they are not the same thing.

Special STOP sign (red, round) Special STOP sign - this is the red, round icon.
  • It is a real, GPS-validated waypoint: the system checks whether the rider actually stopped at it.
  • Penalty applies if the rider does not stop - currently a 3-minute penalty if the speed within the stop-point radius (30 m) exceeds 1 km/h. (configurable in the event penalty settings)
  • As a rider, you have to stop here and continue as soon as you see 0km/h displayed on your dashboard.
Plain STOP traffic-sign drawing (no penalty) STOP traffic-sign drawing.
  • It is just a drawing on the roadbook - a visual reminder of a real-world road sign.
  • No GPS logic and no penalty - the system does not check anything at it.
  • If you only want to illustrate a road sign, use the drawing.
