The app is functional even without an internet connection.
Competitors will be able to download all their event tracks (roadbooks) to the RBR Roadbook Reader app for
offline use two
days before the event's start date. This process is triggered automatically upon accessing the "My Events"
page in the app and is confirmed by a green YES notification, as illustrated in the screenshot below.
Competitors may unlock the track before their scheduled start time,
depending on the section start type and
configuration set by the event organizer.
During the ride, the app will make ongoing efforts to synchronize competitor GPS data with
the servers (and
recalculate results & penalties). In instances where an internet connection is unavailable, the app will
gather data and hold it until a connection is re-established for synchronization.
Organizers cannot access real-time location data (such as speed and stops) on the event’s Live Tracking page
if you don’t have an internet connection. This limits their ability to provide timely support, especially in
emergencies.
We strongly recommend keeping mobile data active during the event (if possible in the region). This ensures smoother
communication and allows organizers, administrators, and fans to follow your ride in real time — which is
especially
critical in an SOS situation.
