Autoscroll lets you ride hands-free - the RBR app automatically advances to the next roadbook row as you move,
replacing the need for remote Bluetooth buttons.
With the autoscroll function, there’s no need to purchase expensive remote controls - riders without buttons no longer need to tap the screen or stop to scroll.
It’s safer, simpler, and keeps both hands on the handlebars.
Autoscroll can also act as a backup feature if your Bluetooth buttons stop working.
You can choose to:
Scroll manually,
Use autoscroll, or
Mix both methods freely.
Event organizers can also disable autoscroll per class if they prefer.
How Autoscroll Works
When autoscroll is enabled, the roadbook automatically moves to the next row as soon as your total odometer reaches that row’s distance.
In the settings, you can fine-tune how many meters after each roadbook row the app should scroll to the next one.
Note: Autoscroll doesn’t use GPS to check your position.
If you go off-track or get lost, it will still keep scrolling as you ride.
When that happens, it’s best to turn off autoscroll until you’re back on the correct route 😊
Tips and Physical Button Options
You can assign an autoscroll ON/OFF toggle to a remote button.
That way, if you’re riding with autoscroll but miss a turn or need to make manual adjustments, you don’t have to take off your gloves or touch the screen.
If you prefer to ride only with autoscroll and never use remote buttons or manual mode, you can even use your device’s physical volume buttons (+/−):
Assign one to Autoscroll enable/disable
Assign the other to Set odometer equal to tulip
This setup lets you stay fully gloved, keep control on the bars, and still make precise adjustments on the move.
This is how it looks like:
As someone who has participated in all the rallies this year using the app's autoscroll
mode, I can confidently say that driving without physical buttons is completely feasible.
There's no disadvantage, even when compared to those who prefer traditional buttons. The
experience has been seamless and efficient.
