How to set speed limits?

  • All speed limits are automatically calculated based on the roadbook file. The only manual setting required is for the default speed, which is used when no specific speed limit is set in the roadbook.

  • Speed limits will be automatically read/sourced from the roadbook notes/description box.

  • Set a single default max speed limit for each track file.

    In the absence of a speed zone in the roadbook notes/description box, the system and app will use/fallback to the "default max speed" for this roadbook/track. In this example 50km/h.

    In the event itinerary you can override the default speed for each section if needed.

  • As per FIM rules, there are Acceleration/Deceleration zones. Their size (radius) is equal to the waypoint "validation" radius.

    80.16.2 The speed of a competitor will be limited (penalized) to the maximum speed allowed between the point of entry and exit point of the zone, regardless of the route taken between these two points.
