This is a very simplified guide to get you started on how to create your own roadbook.
You have to use Rally Navigator to create roadbooks and then upload
them to RoadbookRally.com platform.
Record a GPX Trace: Start by recording a GPX trace as a "base" for your roadbook. If
you're familiar with the route you want to record, you can skip the next step.
Draw Your Preliminary Route: Use tools like bikerouter.de
and/or gpx.studio to sketch out your preliminary route. Once you've
drawn it, load this route onto your favorite GPX navigation app.
Ride the Route: Head out into nature and precisely ride the route you've planned. Use
a phone
or tablet with apps like OsmAnd,
Locus Map, or similar to record the actual GPX trace of the
route.
*It's important not to use tripmaster or wheel sensors for recording, as digital roadbook apps rely on
GPS data for distance calculations.
Load Recorded GPX Trace: Take the recorded GPX trace and load it into Rally Navigator. From there, you can create your
roadbook. Learn more in links and video below.
