# RoadbookRally.com

> Digital navigation and timing platform for roadbook and GPX rallies. Organisers build events,
> riders navigate with the free RBR Roadbook Reader app, and the platform does live tracking,
> automatic timing, penalties, results and GPS replay. One system for solo training rides and
> full-scale competitions, on moto, auto, quad/ATV, SSV/UTV and 4x4.

Core concepts:

- **Track**: one digital roadbook in "OpenRally GPX" format (exported from RallyNavigator.com; PDF roadbooks are not accepted) or a plain GPX trail. Tracks can be public, unlisted or private, free or paid. Public and unlisted tracks have a PIN code that riders type into the app to load them, no account needed.
- **Event**: a competition built from tracks. An event has classes (e.g. Pro, Amateur), sections (one track each) and class-sections (one section as ridden by one class). Competitors register per class. Events have no PIN codes: event tracks appear in the app automatically for "accepted" competitors, unlocked on the organiser's schedule and removed 12 hours after their start time.
- **Waypoints**: control points inside a track that must be passed in ascending order. Types follow FIM/FIA usage: WPE (eclipse), WPN (navigation), WPM (masked), WPS (safety), WPC (control), WPP (precise). Validating them is what produces timing, penalties and results; a missed one can be skipped manually or auto-skipped, with a penalty.
- **Zone markers**: paired waypoints that open and close a zone. DSS/ASS start and end a selective (timed) section, DZ/FZ a speed-limit zone, DN/FN a neutralization zone.
- **Ride**: a rider's recorded GPS trace. Riding a shared track alone also produces a ride, with a leaderboard and replay, without any event.

The replay player (`/track/{pin}/{seo-slug}/player`, `/event/{hashid}/{seo-slug}/player`) and the live
map (`/event/{hashid}/{seo-slug}/live`) send `frame-ancestors *`, so any site can embed them in an iframe.

Pages are server-rendered HTML. The `/api/v2` and `/api/v3` endpoints exist only as the private
contract with the RBR Roadbook Reader app (Sanctum tokens, no public keys issued) and are not a
documented public API.
